You may request for the keynote illustrator to review and critique your dummy instead of your portfolio. If this is your preference, please upload your dummy according to the guidelines below. – All files MUST be 10MB or less.
– Resolution: 72 dpi, 1000 pixels on the longest side.
– Final illustrations are not required. You could, for instance, include one finished color spread and the rest could be roughs. Feel free to bring more color samples and your portfolio to show when you have your Zoom critique.
Please title your art submission “ART – [LAST NAME_Title of Manuscript] – GGY21“.

The cost of a critique is $60.

Q: If I don’t purchase a portfolio critique, can I still display my work at the conference?

A: Yes. If you choose not to pay for a portfolio critique, you can still participate in our annual Portfolio Showcase. All portfolios of illustrators who attend the Portfolio Showcase will be eligible for “Best in Show” awards.

Q: How can I submit to the Portfolio Showcase?

A: You will need a Google account (Free!). A Google album will be created specifically for you to upload and arrange your work (See the instructional PDF.). A link will be emailed to you after 12/18/2020, or within 24 hours after your register, excluding holidays & weekends. We will be linking each album to a page on our SCBWI SF/South Regional website in early March.

Q: When will my Portfolio Review take place?

A: Portfolio Reviews will be scheduled during March. You will be contacted with details regarding the time of your review and will communicate directly with Charles Santoso to schedule a time.

Q: Will my portfolio be considered for the Best-In-Show Award if I sign up for the Portfolio Review?

A: No. Only submissions in the Portfolio showcase will be considered for the Best-In-Show Award.
